A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), provides students with the knowledge, skills, and clinical experience necessary to become licensed registered nurses. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical practice in a variety of healthcare settings. Students learn foundational nursing concepts, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical-surgical nursing. They also develop essential skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and electronic health record documentation. A core component of the program is the clinical practicum where students apply theoretical knowledge to real-world patient care under the supervision of experienced nurses. The primary goal of the RN program is to prepare graduates to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination, the national licensure exam for registered nurses. Passing the NCLEX-RN allows graduates to obtain licensure and practice as registered nurses.
