A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to equip aspiring nurses with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to provide safe and effective patient care. Typically a two-year program, it combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience. The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal-newborn nursing, pediatric nursing, mental health nursing, and community health nursing. Students learn to assess patients’ needs, develop care plans, administer medications, perform treatments, and educate patients and their families.
