A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), prepares students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The program provides a foundation in the biological, social, and behavioral sciences, along with core nursing concepts and skills. Students learn to assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, perform treatments, and educate patients and their families. Clinical experiences are a crucial component, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world healthcare settings under the supervision of experienced nurses and faculty. The ultimate goal of the RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary to provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination and, upon passing, become licensed Registered Nurses.
