The Registered Nursing (RN) program, commonly offered as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. This program provides a solid foundation in nursing theory, principles, and practice, equipping graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide competent and compassionate care to patients of all ages. Students will learn to assess patients’ health status, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. The program emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, ethical decision-making, and effective communication. A significant portion of the program involves clinical experiences in various healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills under the supervision of experienced nurses. The ultimate goal of the RN program is to prepare graduates to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination and become licensed registered nurses, ready to contribute to the healthcare team and improve the lives of patients and communities.
