The Registered Nursing (RN) program at Choffin Career and Technical Center (or a similar institution) is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and clinical experience necessary to become competent and compassionate registered nurses. This program, often culminating in an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), prepares graduates to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings. The curriculum integrates theoretical coursework with hands-on clinical practice, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world situations. Students learn to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical rotations, providing students with valuable experience under the supervision of experienced nurses. The ultimate goal of the RN program is to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge required to pass the NCLEX-RN examination and become licensed registered nurses, ready to make a positive impact on the lives of their patients.
