The Registered Nursing (RN) program at Richmond Community College, like most ADN or ASN programs, is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The program focuses on providing students with a strong foundation in nursing theory, clinical skills, and professional values. Students will learn to assess patients, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. A significant portion of the program involves hands-on clinical experience in diverse settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills under the supervision of experienced RNs. The curriculum is structured to meet the requirements for licensure and prepare graduates to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination. Upon successful completion of the program and licensure, graduates will be qualified to work as Registered Nurses in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare settings, making a significant contribution to the health and well-being of their communities.
