An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), sometimes referred to as an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), program prepares students to become Registered Nurses (RNs). This rigorous program blends classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and extensive clinical rotations. The core curriculum covers fundamental nursing concepts such as anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology. Students learn essential nursing skills, including medication administration, wound care, patient assessment, and electronic health record documentation. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world healthcare settings under the supervision of experienced RNs. Clinical rotations often take place in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community health agencies. The program emphasizes patient-centered care, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Passing the NCLEX-RN is required to obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse.
