A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students for a rewarding and challenging career as a registered nurse. The program provides a solid foundation in nursing theory, scientific principles, and hands-on clinical skills. Students learn how to assess patients’ health needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, and provide emotional support to patients and their families. A core component is clinical experience, where students gain practical experience in various healthcare settings under the supervision of experienced RNs and faculty. The goal of an RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional attributes necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan and in diverse healthcare environments. Upon graduation, students are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination, and upon passing, become licensed registered nurses.
