The Registered Nursing (RN) program at Blackfeet Community College is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and clinical experience necessary to become competent and compassionate registered nurses. This program typically consists of a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and supervised clinical rotations. Students will learn foundational nursing concepts, including patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and disease management. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. Clinical rotations provide opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world healthcare settings, allowing students to work alongside experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals. The program is structured to prepare graduates to provide safe, ethical, and culturally sensitive care to individuals, families, and communities. Successful completion of the program enables graduates to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), and upon passing, become licensed Registered Nurses.
