A Registered Nursing (RN) program, often culminating in an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), prepares students to become licensed Registered Nurses. The program provides a blend of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experiences. Students learn foundational nursing concepts, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal-child health, mental health nursing, and ethical considerations. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical practice, where students gain hands-on experience in various healthcare settings, working under the supervision of experienced nurses and faculty. The goal of an RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to provide safe, compassionate, and effective patient care across the lifespan. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination, which is required for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
