The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program at Eastern Shore Community College is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse (RN). This rigorous program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience, providing students with the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. The curriculum covers a wide range of nursing specialties and health conditions and introduces evidence-based concepts. Students will learn to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Upon successful completion of the NCLEX-RN, graduates are licensed as Registered Nurses and can pursue diverse career opportunities in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and other healthcare settings.
