An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), also known as an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), program is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice as a Registered Nurse (RN). This rigorous program combines classroom instruction, laboratory simulations, and extensive clinical experiences to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to provide safe and effective patient care. Students will learn about anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal-newborn nursing, pediatrics, mental health nursing, and more. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical practice, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world healthcare settings under the supervision of experienced nurses and faculty. The ultimate goal of the ADN program is to prepare graduates to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination and become licensed Registered Nurses, ready to contribute to the healthcare needs of their communities.
