A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), at Covenant School of Nursing and Allied Health is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level practice as a registered nurse. This intensive program typically combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experiences. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of subjects, including anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal-newborn nursing, pediatric nursing, and mental health nursing. Students learn to assess patients’ health status, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, provide direct patient care, and educate patients and families. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical rotations, where students gain practical experience under the supervision of experienced nurses in various healthcare settings. The ultimate goal of the RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to individuals, families, and communities and to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination and obtain licensure as a registered nurse.
