A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is a two-year academic program designed to prepare individuals for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The program focuses on providing a strong foundation in nursing theory, clinical skills, and patient care principles. Students learn to assess patients’ health needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and their families. A significant portion of the program involves hands-on clinical experience in various healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge under the supervision of experienced nurses. The ultimate goal of the RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to individuals, families, and communities. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become licensed registered nurses.
