A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is a comprehensive educational program designed to prepare individuals for a rewarding career as a registered nurse. Typically, the program spans two years and combines classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experiences. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of subjects, including anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, and maternal-child nursing. Through hands-on training in simulated and real-world healthcare settings, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. A key goal of the RN program is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), and upon passing, become licensed registered nurses.
