A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), prepares students to become licensed registered nurses. These programs provide a foundation in nursing theory, clinical skills, and patient care. The curriculum integrates classroom instruction, laboratory simulations, and extensive clinical experiences. Students learn to assess patient health needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. A significant portion of the program focuses on hands-on clinical practice, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world healthcare settings. The ultimate goal of the program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations and to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination, which is required for licensure as a registered nurse. Upon graduation and successful completion of the NCLEX-RN exam, graduates are eligible to practice as registered nurses in a variety of healthcare settings.
