A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), prepares students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide safe and effective patient care. Coursework covers a wide range of topics, including anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, maternal-child health nursing, and community health nursing. Clinical rotations provide opportunities to apply theoretical concepts in real-world healthcare settings, under the supervision of experienced nurses. The ultimate goal of the program is to prepare graduates to pass the NCLEX-RN examination and become licensed registered nurses, capable of providing high-quality, compassionate care to individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan. Graduates are also prepared to continue their education and pursue advanced nursing degrees.
