Gordon Cooper Technology Center Nursing Programs in Shawnee, Oklahoma

A Registered Nursing (RN) program, often offered as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities necessary to provide safe and effective patient care. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience in various healthcare settings. Students learn fundamental nursing concepts, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical-surgical nursing. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical rotations, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios and develop essential skills under the supervision of experienced nurses and instructors. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). Passing the NCLEX-RN exam allows graduates to become licensed Registered Nurses and pursue rewarding careers in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare organizations.
