A Registered Nursing (RN) program, typically leading to an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is a rigorous academic and clinical program designed to prepare students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The primary goal of the program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to patients across the lifespan and in a variety of healthcare settings. The curriculum integrates theoretical coursework with hands-on clinical experiences, allowing students to apply learned concepts in real-world scenarios. Students learn to assess patient needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), the standardized examination for nurse licensure. Passing the NCLEX-RN is required to become a licensed registered nurse.
