The Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), prepares students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The program provides a strong foundation in nursing theory, sciences, and clinical practice. Students learn to assess patients’ health needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making skills. Through a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory simulations, and supervised clinical experiences, students develop the competencies necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to diverse populations across the lifespan. The ultimate goal of the program is to prepare graduates to pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and become licensed registered nurses, ready to contribute to the healthcare team and improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities. The program includes education on topics such as pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal-child nursing, and mental health nursing.
