A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice as a registered nurse. The program provides a solid foundation in the biological, behavioral, and social sciences, along with core nursing principles and clinical skills. Students learn to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and provide direct patient care under the supervision of experienced faculty and preceptors. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical experiences, providing students with opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world healthcare settings. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). Passing the NCLEX-RN is required to obtain licensure as a registered nurse and practice professionally. The goal of an RN program is to produce competent, compassionate, and ethical nurses who are prepared to meet the healthcare needs of individuals, families, and communities.
