A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The program typically spans two years of full-time study and combines classroom instruction, laboratory simulations, and clinical experiences in a variety of healthcare settings. The curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation in nursing theory, medical sciences, and patient care skills. Students learn to assess patient health, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. The ultimate goal of the RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan. Successful completion of the program makes graduates eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), and upon passing, become licensed as registered nurses.
