A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students to become licensed registered nurses. The program typically spans two years of intensive study, blending classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience. Students learn foundational nursing concepts, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical-surgical nursing. A significant portion of the curriculum is dedicated to clinical rotations in various healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge under the supervision of experienced nurses. The primary goal of the RN program is to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination, the national licensing exam for registered nurses. Passing the NCLEX-RN is required to practice as a registered nurse.
