The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, or a similar RN program, is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse. This program provides a blend of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experience to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care. The curriculum covers a broad range of nursing topics, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal-child health, mental health nursing, and community health. Students will gain hands-on experience in real-world healthcare settings, working alongside experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals. A key focus is on developing critical thinking skills, ethical decision-making, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), and upon passing, become licensed Registered Nurses, ready to contribute to the healthcare needs of their communities.
