Assabet Valley Regional Technical School Nursing Programs in Marlborough, Massachusetts

The Registered Nursing (RN) program at Assabet Valley Regional Technical School, like other ADN/ASN programs, is designed to prepare students for a rewarding and challenging career as a registered nurse. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. Students will learn about a wide range of topics, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, maternal-newborn nursing, and pediatric nursing. The program emphasizes patient-centered care, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical rotations in various healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills under the supervision of experienced RNs. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), the licensing exam required to practice as an RN.
