A Registered Nursing (RN) program, often offered as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The program typically spans two years and involves a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical rotations. Students learn fundamental nursing concepts, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, and nutrition. They also gain practical skills in areas such as medication administration, wound care, vital signs monitoring, and patient assessment. Clinical rotations provide hands-on experience in diverse healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills under the supervision of experienced nurses. The overarching goal of an RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients across the lifespan and in a variety of healthcare settings. Graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination and, upon passing, become licensed Registered Nurses.
