The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), also referred to as an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), program prepares students to become entry-level Registered Nurses (RNs). The program provides a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for providing safe and effective patient care. Students learn through classroom lectures, laboratory simulations, and clinical experiences in various healthcare settings. Core coursework covers fundamental nursing concepts, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, mental health, maternal-child nursing, and community health. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and patient safety skills. The ultimate goal of the ADN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge and competencies to pass the NCLEX-RN examination and begin their careers as competent and compassionate Registered Nurses, contributing to the healthcare needs of the community.
