A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), prepares students for entry-level practice as registered nurses. The program focuses on providing a strong foundation in the biological, social, and behavioral sciences, as well as the principles and practice of nursing. Students learn to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. Clinical experiences are a vital component of the program, providing students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world healthcare settings. The overarching goal of the RN program is to prepare graduates to provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become licensed registered nurses.
