A Registered Nursing (RN) program, typically offered as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice as a Registered Nurse. The program provides a comprehensive foundation in nursing theory, clinical skills, and patient care. Through classroom instruction, laboratory simulations, and supervised clinical experiences, students learn to assess patients, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, provide direct patient care, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. The goal of the program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes necessary to provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan. Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and, upon successful completion, are licensed to practice as Registered Nurses.
