The Registered Nursing (RN) program at North Florida College, commonly offered as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students for a rewarding and challenging career as a registered nurse. The program combines classroom instruction, laboratory experiences, and clinical rotations to provide a well-rounded education in the art and science of nursing. Students learn fundamental nursing concepts, patient assessment techniques, medication administration, and disease management strategies. A significant portion of the program is devoted to clinical practice, allowing students to apply their knowledge under the supervision of experienced nurses in various healthcare settings. The ultimate goal of the RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary to provide safe, compassionate, and effective patient care, and to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination, becoming licensed Registered Nurses.
