A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), prepares students to become licensed registered nurses. The program curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in nursing theory, science, and clinical practice. Students learn fundamental nursing skills, including patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and communication. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical rotations, where students gain hands-on experience in various healthcare settings under the supervision of experienced nurses and faculty. These clinical experiences expose students to diverse patient populations and healthcare challenges. The primary goal of an RN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients across the lifespan. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Passing the NCLEX-RN exam is required to obtain licensure and practice as a registered nurse.
