A Registered Nursing (RN) program, typically offered as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students to become entry-level registered nurses. The program focuses on developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care across a variety of healthcare settings. Students learn fundamental nursing concepts, including anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, and medical-surgical nursing. A significant portion of the program involves hands-on clinical experiences, where students apply their classroom knowledge in real-world patient care situations under the supervision of experienced nurses. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). Passing the NCLEX-RN is required for licensure as a registered nurse, enabling graduates to pursue careers in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare organizations. The overall goal is to produce competent and caring nurses who are prepared to meet the evolving healthcare needs of individuals, families, and communities.
