A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for graduates to become licensed Registered Nurses. These programs typically span two years and combine classroom instruction, laboratory simulations, and hands-on clinical experiences. The curriculum is designed to equip students with a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, and maternal-child nursing. Through clinical rotations, students gain practical experience in providing direct patient care under the supervision of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals. The ultimate goal of an RN program is to prepare competent and compassionate nurses who can deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care across a variety of healthcare settings. A significant focus is placed on preparing students to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination, the national licensing exam required to practice as a Registered Nurse. Students will also develop critical thinking skills and learn about ethical and legal considerations in nursing.
