A Registered Nursing (RN) program, such as an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse. The program focuses on providing students with the foundational knowledge, critical thinking skills, and clinical competence necessary to deliver safe and effective patient care. The curriculum typically includes a blend of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and extensive clinical rotations. Students learn about a wide range of topics, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, maternal-child nursing, and community health nursing. Clinical experiences are an integral part of the program, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge under the supervision of experienced nurses in diverse healthcare settings. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam, the national licensure examination for Registered Nurses. Passing the NCLEX-RN exam grants licensure, enabling graduates to practice as Registered Nurses.
