The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program, often also referred to as Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program, prepares students for entry-level practice as a Registered Nurse (RN). This program generally combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience to provide a well-rounded education. Students will learn fundamental nursing skills, including patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and communication. The curriculum also emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making in healthcare. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to clinical rotations, where students gain practical experience under the supervision of experienced RNs in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The primary goal of the ADN program is to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds, and to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination to become licensed RNs.
