The Registered Nursing (RN) program at NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC), similar to typical ADN/ASN programs, is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment necessary to become competent and compassionate registered nurses. The program aims to prepare graduates to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care across the lifespan and in a variety of healthcare settings. The curriculum integrates nursing theory, scientific principles, and clinical practice, emphasizing critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. Students gain hands-on experience through clinical rotations in local hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. A key goal of the program is to prepare graduates to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN licensure examination, enabling them to practice as registered nurses. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be prepared to enter the workforce as entry-level RNs, contributing to the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities in Northwest Arkansas and beyond.
